The Faculty of Business & Management at Universitas Widyatama held a public lecture on the theme of “Transportation in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0” on Saturday (20/10) at the Widyatama Multipurpose Building. This event was a lecture presented in the form of a seminar and is routinely held by the Faculty of Business Management by inviting speakers who are relevant to the development of this country. In addition to providing scientific insight for students, it is hoped that this lecture can be a forum for students to train their sensitivity, awareness, and desire to give their best for the nation.
In line with the objectives of this event, the public lecture opened with a speech from the Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. H. Islahuzzaman, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA. He said that with this event, it is hoped that students can learn about and understand the problems and dynamics of transportation in Jakarta and hopefully provide solutions to these problems.
In this public lecture, the Faculty of Business & Management Widyatama presented the Director of Finance and Administration of PT. MRT, Mr. Tuhiyat, Ak., MM. In his lecture, Mr. Tuhiyat discussed the phases of the Jakarta MRT construction, the benefits of using the Jakarta MRT public transportation system, one of which is to alleviate traffic congestion in the capital city, as well as the safety and comfort of using the Jakarta MRT transportation system. He also mentioned that the Jakarta MRT will be ready for use and operation in March 2019.
In addition to university and faculty officials, the students in attendance were also quite enthusiastic, as evidenced by the numerous questions posed to the speaker from PT MRT Jakarta. Following the question-and-answer session, a gift exchange and group photo were conducted. (Ed)
