Based on the results of the evaluation of Higher Education Science and Technology Performance by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) through SINTA (Science and Technology Index) as of April 29th, 2019, Widyatama University (UTama) ranked 1st as a private university and 21st nationally with good research performance. SINTA (Science and Technology Index) is a portal that contains measurements of science and technology performance, including researcher performance, author performance, journal performance, and institutional performance carried out by lecturers at a university.
SINTA provides benchmarks and analysis, identifies the research strengths of each institution to develop collaborative partnerships, analyzes research trends, and provides a directory of experts.
In terms of research output, in 2018, Widyatama University produced 64 research papers published in Scopus-indexed journals. This is supported by the policies of the Foundation and the Rectorate, which fully support and motivate faculty members to continue conducting research. (Ed)
