The Information Systems Study Program at Widyatama University (UTama) Bandung, in collaboration with the Gedebage Market Community, held a Community Service (PkM) activity by providing digital marketing training for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Gedebage Market community, Gedebage District.
The event was held online via Google Meet on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time.
The event was attended by the Head of Gedebage Market, Fajar Diansyah, Founder of Palapa Market, Royke B. Rizka, S.E., M.M., and Head of the Information Systems Study Program, Ir. Sri Lestari, M.T.
In his speech, the Head of Gedebage Market, Fajar Diansyah, expressed his gratitude to the Information Systems Study Program at UTama for providing digital marketing training for MSMEs in the Gedebage Market area.
According to him, the training will be very beneficial and is expected to support the empowerment of MSMEs in the Gedebage Market area.
The success of this activity was made possible by funding from LP2M UTama. In this activity, the Information Systems Study Program involved students and lecturers.
UTama lecturers were involved as facilitators to solve problems faced by MSMEs, especially in product marketing.
On this occasion, participants were given insights into digital marketing workshops. It was attended by 30 Gedebage Market MSMEs, 15 students, and 7 lecturers from the Information Systems Study Program.
Most SMEs already use digital media such as Instagram and Facebook, and utilize existing marketplaces, even having their own marketplace called Palapa Market.
For your information, SMEs are defined in Presidential Decree No. 19 of 1998 as small-scale economic activities that need to be protected and prevented from unfair competition.
