Acara dibuka dengan sambutan dari Wakil Ketua DPRD Provinsi Jawa Barat, Dr. Hj. Ineu Purwadewi Sundari S.Sos., M.M.

This is a very good event and certainly useful, especially for fresh graduates who are planning to find suitable and stable employment.
Therefore, it is my hope that the West Java provincial government will ensure that graduates are not only knowledgeable but also independent, and have the ability to create jobs or become entrepreneurs.

The next speech was given by Andre Purwandono, S.S., representative of the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI).

It is an honor for us, the MURI Team, to be present at the opening of Career Day, where this time a MURI record will be set for a virtual job fair held for 50 hours non-stop. We hope that this event will run smoothly, and that graduates seeking employment will find jobs aligned with their fields of study. We also hope there will be no unforeseen issues. May these 50 hours proceed smoothly and successfully secure its place in the MURI records.

Also present was the Rector of Widyatama University, who gave a speech at the event and officially opened the 2022 Virtual Career Day Expo.

He greatly appreciated the activity because it had many benefits, one of which was its implication for the absorption rate of graduates, especially at Widyatama University, and it could review the extent of the competencies that the university provided to students, which were relevant to the world of work. Not stopping there, Prof. Dadang explained that the Ministry of Higher Education is currently rolling out the Independent Campus Curriculum, which includes content explaining that practitioners are allowed to enter campuses with the hope of adding to the knowledge that can be obtained by students.

Therefore, on this occasion, we urge company leaders and experts in companies to come to campus to share their knowledge, both hard skills and soft skills. The benefit is that knowledge is everywhere; it is not monopolized by universities or those with degrees, but is everywhere. because knowledge is everywhere. Who knows, perhaps from what company leaders possess, there may be new knowledge that we can develop.

The event recorded a total of 23,856 visitors, 435 registered users, and 1,569 registered users who applied for jobs.
