Bandung, September 30th, 2025 – In an effort to strengthen excellent and ethical university management, Universitas Widyatama held a Risk Management Workshop on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, at the Seminar Room, Building B, 6th floor, Universitas Widyatama, Bandung.
This event featured the main speaker Dr. Ir. Arief Rahmana, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN ENG., who is an expert in the field of engineering and risk management. The workshop was attended by various members of the academic community, ranging from structural officials, lecturers, to administrative staff of Universitas Widyatama.
In his presentation, Dr. Arief Rahmana emphasized the importance of implementing risk management in higher education institutions as part of efforts to achieve transparent and accountable university management.
Furthermore, he explained that the implementation of risk management in higher education institutions plays an important role in maintaining the sustainability of the institution, both in academic, financial, human resources, and educational services aspects. This workshop received positive responses from participants who actively discussed and exchanged experiences in managing potential risks in their respective work environments. Through these interactive sessions, participants were expected to gain insights and practical strategies that could be applied in managing activities in university work units.
In his speech, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Universitas Widyatama said that this activity was part of the campus’ commitment to improving human resource capacity and strengthening risk-based management systems.
Universitas Widyatama continues to become an excellent and adaptive university in response to global challenges. One of the keys is to implement planned and measurable risk management,” he said.
Through this Risk Management Workshop, Universitas Widyatama hopes that the entire academic community can better understand the importance of risk-based governance in supporting the achievement of the university’s vision as an Excellent and Integrity Campus.
