Widyatama University is making efforts to recruit quality prospective students, including by providing 10 of the best students from 54 high schools with Excellent and Good ratings in West Java with the opportunity to take the 2006/2007 New Student Admissions Entrance Examination (PMB) free of charge. Participants who enter through this channel are not required to purchase application forms and are free to choose their desired study program. They will also have the opportunity to participate in scholarship selection in their first year. PMB registration began on February 1, 2006.
It is hoped that this step in selecting prospective students will provide opportunities for high school students with academic achievements to develop their intellectual abilities by choosing the right university. In addition, this step is also one of Widyatama’s efforts to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process and produce graduates who are highly competent in their respective fields.
Currently, Widyatama University is required to produce competent graduates who are adapted to the rapid developments in the business world in line with globalization. Therefore, the educational institution strives to maximize the academic process by achieving the quality targets that have been set.
According to data from the Academic Administration Bureau, the average achievement of quality targets over the last two years shows that 57% of graduates completed their studies on time with satisfactory results, while 31% of graduates had a minimum TOEFL score of 450 and 100% of graduates were able to operate computer applications and the internet.
In relation to this, the schedule for new student admissions (PMB) for the 2006-2007 academic year at Widyatama University began on February 1, 2006, and the March period entrance examination was held on March 5, 2006. The entrance examination (USM) is planned to be held in three periods, namely March, June, and August. Meanwhile, the number of study programs offered is eight Bachelor’s Degree (S1) programs and four Diploma 3 (D3) programs, as well as two postgraduate programs, namely the Master of Management (MM) and the Accounting Professional Education Program (PPA).
