The community is interested in metaphysical (inner energy) treatments, which are believed to be alternative treatments that can cure various diseases. This was evident from the large number of community members in the Sukapada sub-district of Bandung who visited the mass treatment post set up by the Indonesian Hikmatul Iman Martial Arts Institute, Widyatama University Unit, as part of a social service program for residents around the Widyatama campus, on April 25-27, 2006, at the Widyatama Sports Building, Jalan Cikutra, Bandung.
This social service in the form of mass medical and non-medical treatment is a routine program held every year. Dozens of people visited every day during the three days of free treatment, and on the last day, there were more than 100 patients, all of whom were residents living around the Widyatama campus in the Sukapada neighborhood of Bandung.
According to the Head of the Social Service Committee, Yosef Suhendar (Widyatama Management Undergraduate Student), the residents who came generally complained of chronic illnesses such as headaches, digestive problems, respiratory problems, rheumatism, and others. The committee deployed 30 students to provide this free medical treatment.
