The Student Government of Widyatama University held a men’s and women’s basketball invitational tournament and cheerleading championship for high schools in West Java & DKI Jakarta, UTAMA CUP 5, from February 7 to 22, 2007, at the Widyatama University Basketball Court on Jalan Cikutra, Bandung.
This basketball invitational tournament will compete for the Widyatama University Rector’s Rotating Cup, the Widyatama University Permanent Cup, the Bandung Mayor’s Permanent Cup, the West Java Governor’s Permanent Cup, as well as a development fund of Rp. 12,500,000 and MVP awards for the best male and female players. Meanwhile, the cheerleading championship will receive the Widyatama University Permanent Cup, the Bandung Mayor’s Permanent Cup, the West Java Governor’s Permanent Cup, and a development fund of Rp. 2,250,000, as well as MVP awards for the best male and female cheerleaders. Widyatama, the Permanent Bandung Mayor’s Cup, the Permanent West Java Governor’s Cup, and a development fund of Rp. 2,250,000.
The purpose of organizing this basketball invitational and cheerleading championship is to nurture the younger generation in terms of mental strength, discipline, and sportsmanship among high school students, as well as to identify talented individuals in the world of basketball.
