Widyatama wins the 2008 FKK program

Widyatama University has once again earned the trust of the Directorate General of Higher Education through the Directorate of Institutions in the “Communication and Consultation Forum” (FKK) program. Based on a letter from Dikti No. 4169/D5.3/T/2007, on November 21, 2007, the Director of Institutional Affairs decided that Widyatama University was one of six (6) universities that won the FKK Program and was entitled to receive funding for the implementation of the FKK program starting in 2008. while there were 24 higher education institutions from several regions that proposed themselves. Widyatama University is the only higher education institution from West Java that won the FKK Program for the 2008 Fiscal Year. The FKK Program is a platform for higher education institutions, government agencies, industry, and the community that have mutual needs and interests to communicate, exchange information, share materials, and collaborate in activities focused on synergistic efforts to enhance national competitiveness. The objective of the program is to improve effective, efficient, and productive communication and consultation between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), industry, government, and the community in improving the quality of higher education. The perceived gap between college graduates and job market needs has prompted the Directorate General of Higher Education to assist universities in developing FKK and focusing on improving synergy between LPT and the needs of industry, local government, and the community. Through this forum, it is hoped that the gap between the competencies of graduates produced by LPT and the needs of industry will be reduced. In this FKK program, Widyatama University has chosen the theme “Business Community Development Program,” which is in line with Widyatama’s strategic program towards External Networking and Business Community Development (ENBCD). ENBCD is a strategic program that will encourage the University to achieve a graduate profile that is in line with Widyatama’s vision, the future of the national, regional and international economy that is already or is moving towards a market economy system, where competitive behavior will be an inevitable requirement for graduates who will enter the professional world either as entrepreneurs or employees of private enterprises. It is hoped that the FKK Program will contribute to Widyatama University in realizing its vision.
