Sri Astuti Pratminingsih S.E., M.A., Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) at Widyatama University, was selected as one of the participants in the International Deans’ Course, South East Asia, which was selected by an international expert commission. This intensive training program, attended by 30 participants consisting of deans, vice rectors, and assistant deans from various universities in Southeast Asia, was organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck (FHOs), The German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) in collaboration with The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH).
This training was attended by six countries in Southeast Asia, namely Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. In Indonesia, 14 participants were selected from 13 public universities and one private university. Sri Astuti Pratminingsih S.E., M.A., was the representative from two private universities in Indonesia. The training material covered strategic management, financial management, quality assurance, and university leadership. The training aimed to improve university management skills and broaden the knowledge of university administrators and structural officials in Southeast Asia. The training program is divided into three parts: Part I: May 5–14, 2008, in Osnabrück and Berlin, Germany; Part II: November 2008, two days in Indonesia, or in Vietnam, or in the Philippines; Part III: March 2009 in Indonesia (for seven days).
