The Master of Management (MM) Program at Widyatama University (UTama) held an Alumni Gathering on Saturday (10/9), which was opened by the Secretary of the MM Program, Prof. Dr. H. Endang Sumactidar, S.E., M.M., at the new Postgraduate building of Widyatama University, Jalan PHH Mustapha 61 Bandung.
The Master of Management (MM) Program at Widyatama University (UTama) held an Alumni Gathering on Saturday (10/9), which was opened by the Secretary of the MM Program, Prof. Dr. H. Endang Sumactidar, S.E., M.M., at the new Widyatama University Postgraduate building, Jalan PHH Mustapha 61 Bandung.
The Widyatama University MM Program has graduated more than 200 alumni in the last decade who are spread across various industrial sectors, state-owned enterprises, and government agencies, so the organizing committee considered it important to establish a forum that bridges the gap between educational institutions and alumni.
On another occasion, the Head of the MM Program, Prof. Dr. H. Maman Kusman, S.E., M.B.A., stated in his speech that the MM Program plans to collaborate with foreign universities through advanced study programs. This program is an effort to align Widyatama’s MM academic program with advances in science, technology, and the arts, he added. The hope was also expressed that alumni could contribute more to the advancement of their alma mater by forming a formal communication platform among alumni, which could serve as an indirect promotional tool for the MM Program.
Dr. Mame. S. Sutoko, Ir., DEA, Rector of UTama, was present and gave a message that alumni should optimize the facilities of the postgraduate building, which was inaugurated a few months ago and can be used as a center for study and business, which is also the core of MM Widyatama’s education. “Networking is very important in the lives of professionals. The creation of bonds between alumni can form partnerships between alumni and institutions,” said the Rector in his speech.
The event continued with the formation of an alumni association led by representatives from the first to the last batch to create a forum that brings together alumni of the MM program at Widyatama University.red***
