Widyatama University Bandung (UTama) successfully held the National Accounting and Business Seminar (SNAB) on Tuesday (March 27) entitled “The Development of the Role of Accounting in Professional Business” at the Widyatama Hall.
Widyatama University Bandung (UTama) successfully held the National Seminar on Accounting and Business (SNAB) on Tuesday (27/3) entitled “The Development of the Role of Accounting in Professional Business” at the Widyatama Hall. The seminar was opened by the Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, Ir., DEA, and attended by the Minister of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia/Head of the National Development Planning Agency, Prof. Dr. Armida S. Alisjahbana, S.E., M.A., as the keynote speaker, the founder of the Widyatama Foundation, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Koesbandijah Ak, MS. Ak, and other top officials. This seminar was a means of presenting research results in the field of accounting and business by researchers, educators, students, and practitioners from all over Indonesia.
The seminar featured five keynote speakers from the Chairman of the Financial Services Authority, Member of the National Board of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants, Director of Development at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Coordinator of Kopertis Region IV West Java, and Rector of Widyatama University. According to the Executive Chairman of SNAB, Dr. Islahuzzaman, M.Si.Ak, more than 50 universities participated in this seminar, and 161 presenters attended to present their research findings.
The results of this seminar are expected to produce a number of alternative solutions to bring theoretical perspectives and research findings in the scientific world closer to the practical realities of the business sector. The final results of this seminar are also expected to provide input for business people and the government to improve the quality of accounting in Indonesia.
SNAB 2012 is intended as a forum for the dissemination of knowledge and information in the fields of financial accounting and capital markets, corporate governance, management accounting, auditing, technology and information systems, government and public sector accounting, social and environmental accounting, accounting education, marketing management, entrepreneurship, strategic management, financial management, operational management, Business Management Education, and International Business.
