Prof. Dr. Hj. Koesbandijah A.K. M.S., Ak, founder of the Widyatama University foundation and Teacher Mentor Role Model, has passed away. She died at Abdi Waluyo Hospital in the Menteng area of Jakarta on April 28, 2013, at around 11:00 a.m. The final tribute to her was held twice, on Sunday evening, April 28, 2013, at her residence on Jl. Brantas No. 3, Bandung, and on Monday morning, April 29, 2013, at the Widyatama University Multipurpose Building at 7:00 a.m. At 8:00 a.m., a large group of family members from Widyatama University and his extended family departed from Widyatama University for Husein Airport, as he was to be buried in the family cemetery in the Sidoarjo area. He was seen as a kind and humble figure who was loved by many people. He was also very concerned about education, with the noble goal of educating the nation. His passing leaves behind 7 children, 22 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. He had spent 40 years building Widyatama University into what it is today.
