Tuesday (27/8) New students of Widyatama University for the 2013/2014 academic year participated in the University Introduction Program or PPU at the Widyatama Auditorium in Cikutra. Approximately
1555 students attended, dressed in plain gray clothes with bright faces, welcoming their new status as students.
The PPU, which will be held for five days, featured an exclusive talk show with Mr. Arief Suditomo (Editor-in-Chief of RCTI). He (Arief-red) gave a message to the new students to study hard in order to obtain a satisfactory GPA (grade point average), be active in organizations, and start trying to get closer to the world of broadcasting. “The world of broadcasting has always shown significant growth from year to year, especially with the emergence of private television stations other than TVRI,” said Arief.
This talk show was also attended by the Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board, Mr. T. Ontowiryo, S.E., MBA, Treasurer of the Widyatama Foundation, Mr. Djoko Roespinoedji, S.E., Pg. Dip, Head of the Marketing Bureau, Mrs. Devy Mawarnie Puspitasari, S.E., M.M., and Mrs. Anna Yudiana, S.E., as Level 2 Functional Placement Office and Career Center. On that occasion, Mr. T. Ontowiryo also welcomed the new students for the 2013/2014 academic year. Ray (Chair of the Widyatama University Center) as the moderator, encouraged the new students to join the Student Activity Unit Center, which is involved in writing and journalism.
On this occasion, Mr. Arief Suditomo did not hesitate to invite Widyatama University (UTama) students to visit the RCTI studio in Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta, and even to do internships because in this era, human resources with experience are prioritized.
This exclusive talk show concluded with the presentation of a souvenir to Mr. Arief Suditomo by the Head of the Student Affairs Office, Mr. Tezza Adriansyah Anwar, S.IP., M.M., representing the Widyatama community.
