Monday (16/12) Widyatama University (UTama) welcomed a visit from vocational high schools and Islamic high schools in Sukabumi. The group arrived at around 11:00 a.m. at the Widyatama parking lot and was welcomed by the Public Relations team from the Marketing Bureau. The group leader, Mr. Nasrullah, S.Pd, as the Coordinator of MGBK SMK Sekota Sukabumi, brought around 39 teachers and school principals as well as 190 selected students.
The event began with a speech from the Head of the Marketing Bureau, Mrs. Devy M. Puspitasari, S.E., M.M., followed by a speech from the Head of MGBK Sekota Sukabumi, Mr. Nasrullah S. Pd. The purpose of the group’s visit to UTama was to provide an understanding of higher education, which tends to be overlooked by vocational school graduates. This is because vocational school graduates have a mindset of being ready to work, so it is hoped that this visit can provide a different perspective. In addition to providing this understanding, the visit was also used as a means to provide more detailed information about Widyatama University.
At the end of the event, the Head of the Bureau presented merchandise and souvenirs to the group and held a photo session to foster familiarity and good relations between the two institutions.
