Industry visit
Bandung (10/10/2014), the Faculty of Business and Management at Widyatama University received a visit from the Faculty of Management & Business, MARA University of Technology (UiTM) Malaysia. The purpose of this visit was to benchmark the learning processes at the Faculty of Business and Management and to introduce the local culture. The delegation from MARA Technology (UiTM) Malaysia consisted of 35 students and 2 lecturers.
The guests were welcomed by Mrs. Hj. Dyah Kusumastuti, Dr., Ir., M.Sc as Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management, Mr. Dr. Agoestiana Boediprasetya., S.E., M.T. as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management, Mrs. Siti Komariah., S.E., M.M. As Head of the Bachelor of Management Program, Mr. Ryan Kurniawan, S.E., M.M. as Head of the Diploma III Management Program and Mr. Arry Hutomo M.D.K.S.P., S.Si., M.T as Head of the Development Planning Center acted as moderators for the visit.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the host, especially the Widyatama Rectorate, because in addition to academic cooperation, they were also able to learn about Malaysian culture. The student delegation from the University of Technology MARA (UiTM) Malaysia performed three traditional Malaysian dances.
The guests also expressed their appreciation in terms of facilities and politeness in dealing with their guests. “We are very impressed with this visit, we were welcomed nicely by encik and the cleanliness was very well maintained,” commented Nur, a student from Mara Universiti Malaysia.
This industrial visit was the second of its kind, aimed at introducing both universities’ profiles, as well as promoting Malaysia’s profile as part of the “Visit Malaysia 2014” Truly Asia campaign. The university administration hopes for a good partnership between Widyatama University and Mara University, particularly in the academic field moving forward.
