Monday (20/10/2014). To improve the alignment of education with workplace qualifications, Widyatama University is currently developing a curriculum based on the Indonesian Qualification Framework (KKNI) or Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF). As part of these activities, Widyatama University invited Mrs. Megawati Santoso, Ph.D., as a representative of DIKTI and a guest from QA Based Qualification Australia. The purpose and objective of this activity was to benchmark the curriculum.
Ms. Aan Doolotte, representative of QA Based Qualification Specialist, delivered her presentation accompanied by Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. Davidescu Cristiana V. M., M.A. and Ms. Megawati S. In her discussion, she mentioned that a curriculum implemented in an educational institution has a good correlation with the qualifications of the lecturers who implement the curriculum. “Whether or not a curriculum reaches students during teaching implementation depends on the understanding of the lecturer concerned about the curriculum being implemented,” said Mrs. Megawati when adding to Mrs. Aandooltte’s presentation. The event, which was held at the Master of Management Building, was attended by the Deans of all Faculties, the Heads of Study Programs, and the Secretaries of Study Programs. The meeting also served as a forum for discussion between Widyatama University lecturers and DIKTI, particularly regarding the rights and obligations of teaching and learning as well as facilities.
