Once again achieving success, the Widyatama Tarung Derajat Student Activity Unit won 2nd place in the West Java Student Championship held by the Indonesia University of Education (UPI). UPI, as the home base for the competition, held the competition, which is held annually. The event, held on Saturday, August 15, 2015, also commemorated Indonesia’s Independence Day. Represented by three Tarung Derajat Widyatama athletes, the team successfully defeated several renowned state universities in the West Java region. “Although we won the silver medal, this is a starting point for our success in future events. We have become good, but we always strive to be great and even greater,” said one of the medal winners at the sports competition.
With the victory of the Widyatama Tarung Derajat training unit in the West Java regional arena, it is hoped that this will serve as a positive magnet for other Student Activity Units in achieving accomplishments to bring honor to the name of the Widyatama academic community. Viva Widyatama!
