On Friday (October 2nd) Universitas Widyatama once again held its annual event, the Gathering of High School/Vocational School/Islamic High School Teachers in Bandung Municipality. Starting with a speech by the Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. H. Islahuzzaman, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA, the event was opened and proceeded solemnly. In his speech, the Rector expressed his gratitude for the contribution of each school in supporting the admission of new students every year. “Without all of you, Universitas Widyatama would not have the strength to attract students who are choosing a university,” he said. The Rector then referred to the 5 Strategic Development Programs of Widyatama for 2014-2018, namely the expansion of access and improvement of the quality of education and student affairs. This Teacher Appreciation Gathering event is a form of access development so that third parties related to Widyatama can immediately obtain a “mutual symbiosis” for the benefit of each institution.
In addition, this event also aims to strengthen the relationship between the university and senior high schools and vocational schools. Held in the Seminar Room on the 4th floor of Building A at Universitas Widyatama, the event continued with a presentation on New Student Admissions by the Vice Rector for Development and Cooperation, Mrs. Sri Astuti Pratminingsih, S.E., M.A., Ph.D. The moderator was the Head of the Marketing Bureau of Widyatama University, Mrs. Devy Mawarnie Puspitasari, S.E., M.M.
The enthusiasm shown by the teachers who attended that day was evident from the question and answer session opened by two panels organized by the organizing committee. From the discussion, it can be concluded that the school is very grateful for the regular attention given by Widyatama University as the best private university in the city of Bandung. Universitas Widyatama also provided a lot of educational input for the smooth running of education together.
Additionally, the Widyatama Foundation, represented by H. Markus Kasirin, S.E., M.M., acting as the Secretary of the Widyatama Foundation, attended the appreciation gathering. The deans and their deputies also enlivened the event initiated by the Marketing Bureau.
