On Monday (14/12), Universitas Widyatama (UTama) received a visit from http://smkn4padalarang.sch.id/. This first visit took place at 9:00 a.m. with an opening speech by the Head of the Marketing Bureau, Mrs. Devy Mawarnie Puspitasari, S.E., M.M., followed by a speech from the representative of SMKN 4 Padalarang, Mr. Firman, as the Deputy Headmaster for Student Affairs. As part of the institution’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, and as a form of achievement of the marketing bureau’s work program, this event was wrapped in a semi-entertainment format. Thus, students gained education and knowledge from the tryout, while also enjoying a refreshing performance from representatives of the information technology study program with a presentation of several robots. The maturity of this Visit and Tryout package became a breakthrough for the success of the event’s innovation. The presence of Mr. Pipin Sukandi, S.E., M.M., as a motivator, along with representatives from the Computer Science program (http://if. www.widyatama.ac.id/) with their robotic creations, as well as the live broadcast from Widyatama Community TV, UTama TV (http://goo.gl/nqW4dv), was well-received by the students preparing for the National Exam. They were given “advice” in an entertaining manner by the motivator, who is also a permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Management.
In addition, the group’s visit to UTama was to provide high school graduates and their equivalents with an understanding of the world of higher education. This is because high school graduates do not yet know which university they will attend after graduating from high school and what major they will choose when they go to college. In addition to providing this understanding, the visit was used as a means to provide more detailed information about Widyatama University. At the end of the event, the group and the visitation committee held a group photo session to foster familiarity and good relations between the two institutions.
