On Monday (1/2), Widyatama University (UTama) welcomed a visit from Bandung State Senior High School 27. The group arrived at around 8:30 a.m. at the Widyatama parking lot and was welcomed by the Marketing Bureau and Marketing Crew. The group was led by Mrs. Rika Hernaningsih, a guidance counselor at Bandung State Senior High School 27, and representative teachers from the school. Bandung State Senior High School 27 brought around 400 students from various scientific fields.
The event began with a speech from the Head of the Marketing Bureau, Mrs. Devy Mawarnie Puspitasari, S.E., M.M., followed by a speech from Mrs. Ida Suciati Mandirisari, M.Pd, as the school representative. The event then continued with a tryout held at the Widyatama University Multipurpose Building. This had many benefits for the school, especially the students, as it provided hard skills training for the students of SMA Negeri 27 Bandung.
The purpose of the group’s visit to UTama was to provide high school graduates and their equivalents with an understanding of higher education. This is because high school graduates are often unsure about which university to choose and which major to pursue after graduation. In addition to providing this understanding, the visit also served as an opportunity to share information about Widyatama University in a more intimate setting. At the end of the event, the Head of the Office presented merchandise and souvenirs to the group and conducted a group photo session to foster camaraderie and good relations between the two institutions.
