A wise figure and fatherly figure has now returned to God’s mercy. The Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board, Mr. Laksmana TNI (Ret.) T. Ontowiryo Abdul Kadir, S.E., MBA, has left this world forever. Mr. Ontowiryo passed away on Thursday (March 17) and breathed his last at Borromeus Hospital at 12:10 p.m. His passing brought tears to the eyes of his family and Widyatama employees, who were visiting him at the time.
The third child of the founder of the Widyatama Foundation, Prof. Dr. Koesbandijah Abdoel Kadir, S.E., M.Si., Ak, he replaced the founding mother as Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board for almost 4 years.
“Father was a very firm figure, always prioritizing the values practiced by employees and lecturers at Widyatama University,” said Edi Witono, an employee at Widyatama University. His passing was very unexpected. Many people could not believe it and felt the loss of his “nurturing” character in fostering the organization, especially the Widyatama Foundation. Farewell, sir.
