On Tuesday (13/2), the community affiliated with the Universitas Widyatama (UTama) Lebak Banten Student Association participated in an Education Fair held by the Lebak student community, which has spread widely and studied in several regions across the archipelago. The event was called LEXUS (Lebak Expo University). LEXUS is a place for students from Lebak Regency who care about Lebak Regency, and its agenda is to hold a socialization event for public and private universities, which is held simultaneously in one event.
This event is intended to facilitate high school/vocational school students in helping them choose and find out information about public and private universities. The enthusiasm of the students from Lebak Regency, Banten, who attended the Education Fair was evident. Not only alumni from state universities participated in the Education Fair, but private universities and their alumni from Lebak who are scattered across well-known campuses in Indonesia also participated in the event.
According to (news.okezone.com), student enthusiasm for pursuing their dreams of attending college has increased by 40%, which is a breath of fresh air for private universities to gather prospective students to study at their institutions. Moreover, in its new regulations, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education has provided a small proportion of students to enter through SNMPTN and SBMPTN. Instead, the independent pathway they prioritize is given a high proportion for the opportunity to be accepted at state universities.
The existence of UTama in Lebak, Banten, has not faded; in fact, every year there is a growing trend of more people choosing UTama as their campus of choice. Many of them have been successful in the world of work, industry, and entrepreneurship by joining UTama.
