The Head of the Widyatama Library Center is well aware that graphology is a subject that needs to be taught so that people can understand their own personalities and characters, as well as those of the people around them in a broader context. “Graphology is a unique and interesting subject to study. In addition to its uniqueness, graphology is also a subject that can be studied by all library members regardless of their backgrounds. In addition, Widyatama has a great opportunity because it can invite the only graphology expert in Indonesia,” said Mrs. Cucu Hodijah, S.Sos., M.M., Head of the Universitas Widyatama Library Center.

Graphology is Brain Writing as well as Body Language on Paper. Graphology is an art of assessing oneself or one’s environment to reveal a person’s personality or character through handwriting. The process of writing actually begins in the human brain. All handwriting starts as an idea or thought that is then communicated through writing. Meanwhile, our brains also store various emotions such as hope, fear, joy, anxiety, and past emotions, so that whatever is in our minds and feelings, whether conscious or subconscious, will be reflected in our handwriting in the form of unique signs. By interpreting the signs within a handwriting sample, one can discern or read the individual’s uniqueness, potential, interests, and talents. Through Graphology, a person can understand themselves and also help to understand others, such as their self-confidence, neatness, and other traits.
