The Chairman of the Central BP PTSI Association and Advisory Board of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI), Prof. Thomas Suyatno, visited Widyatama University on Monday morning (12/2) in the Seminar Room on the 6th floor of Building B. During the visit, the professor from Moestopo University gave advice to the leaders of the Foundation and the Rectorate of Widyatama University.

Prof. Thomas’ visit was intended to enable Widyatama University to continue improving its quality towards becoming a Leading University in line with the theme “Reflections on 2017, Welcoming 2018 Towards a Leading University”. “A leading university must be accompanied by 4 aspects of quality,” said Prof. Thomas. The first aspect is human resources, which includes employees and lecturers who must provide stakeholder-oriented services and be highly competent. The next aspect is management quality, which in this case refers to the management of higher education organizations based on the concept of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), meaning that all aspects must uphold the principles of transparency, responsibility, accountability, and fairness.
Prof. Thomas added that the third quality is Student Achievement. “Of course, students studying at this campus must excel in both academic and non-academic fields,” added the man who was once the Rector of Atma Jaya University. The last quality that an excellent university must have is Research Quality, in which lecturers must continue to develop scientific publications.
