With the rapid development of the Asian economy in particular, and the world in general, understanding and mastering foreign languages is an important tool in international information exchange. Japan, as one of the developed countries with a fairly high economic level, has opened up considerable opportunities to absorb workers from outside Japan, especially Indonesia. One of the requirements for working in Japan is to have an internationally recognized Japanese language proficiency certificate. One such certificate is the Global Nihongo Kentei (GNK).
Recognizing the importance of certification recognized by multinational companies in Japan, the Faculty of Languages at Universitas Widyatama, specifically the Japanese Study Program for Bachelor’s and Associate’s degrees, held the Nihongo Kentei Test to help students prepare for the Nihongo Noryoku Shiken test held by The Japan Foundation. The test was held on Tuesday (May 22nd) at Universitas Widyatama and was attended by 36 students thanks to the collaboration between the Faculty of Languages at Widyatama and Blanc Partners co.ltd. Present at the test were the head of the Japanese Study Program, Dinda Gayatri Ranadireksa, M.A., Ph.D., as the head of the Japanese Bachelor degree program, Aan Amalia, Dra., M.Pd, as the head of the Japanese language Diploma III program, and several lecturers from the Faculty of Languages. Also present at the test was the Managing Director of Blanc Partners, Mr. Shogo Yokomakura.
