The Universitas Widyatama Japanese Diploma III and Bachelor’s Degree Programs held a workshop featuring a native speaker from Osaka Sangyo University, Prof. Eiji Nakayama, on Monday, July 23rd, 2018, in the Universitas Widyatama Rectorate Meeting Room on the 2nd floor. The workshop was attended by over 30 participants, including Japanese language instructors from Universitas Widyatama and representatives from the West Java Subject Teachers’ Association (MGMP).

Upon arrival at Universitas Widyatama, Prof. Nakayama was welcomed by the Head of the Japanese Bachelor’s Degree Program, Dinda Gayatri Ranadireksa, M.A., Ph.D., and the Head of the Japanese Diploma III Program, Aan Amalia Dra, M.Pd.

The workshop began with remarks from the Head of the Widyatama Japanese Diploma III Program, Aan Amalia, Dra., M.Pd, followed by remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Hero Gunawan, M.Pd, who also opened the event. The workshop was presented by Prof. Eiji Nakayama, accompanied by Hardianto R, S.Pd., M.Pd., as the moderator, who delivered material on Japanese data collection through Corpus and the Web.

After the presentation, a question and answer session was held, which was enthusiastically welcomed by Widyatama lecturers and high school/vocational school Japanese language teachers. The workshop ended with a group photo session in the courtyard of the Rectorate Building.
