Eid al-Adha 1439 H at Widyatama University

Wednesday (August 22), Widyatama University (UTama) held Eid al-Adha prayers for the year 1439 H in the parking lot of the Widyatama Multipurpose Building. The event was attended by UTama residents and the surrounding community of Sukapada Village in Bandung City. The Eid al-Adha prayer was led by the Head of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Cibeunying Kidul, KH. Drs. Aos Maosul, as the Imam and Khotib. Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, was welcomed with joy and happiness by all Muslims, including the extended family of Widyatama University, who participated in the annual sacrifice ritual held every year in the month of Dhu al-Hijjah.

(second from right) directly monitored the process from the slaughter of sacrificial animals to the distribution of sacrificial meat to those entitled to receive it.

Every year, the Widyatama Foundation provides four cows as sacrificial animals on behalf of 28 people, including lecturers and employees at Widyatama. This year, 1439 H, the slaughtering of sacrificial animals began at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Al Makmur Widyatama Mosque courtyard. The slaughtered sacrificial animals were distributed to more than 400 residents in the Sukapada Bandung neighborhood. (Ed)
