Private: Universitas Widyatama Faculty of Economics and Business Holds Entrepreneurship Training for Residents of West Java National Narcotics Agency

The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Widyatama University held an entrepreneurship training program for clients receiving monitoring and assistance from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and BNN employees in West Java Province, with the theme “Entrepreneurship Training for Participants in the Continuous Rehabilitation Program,” which was held online on Thursday (2/18/21). This entrepreneurship training is a form of community service that is part of the Tridarma (three pillars) of Widyatama University. The training began at 9:00 a.m. and was opened by one of the heads of the Research and Community Service Cluster at Universitas Widyatama, Mrs. Yelli Eka Sumadhinata SE., M.M., who also serves as the Head of the Widyatama University Career Center. Remarks were also delivered by the Head of Rehabilitation (Associate Expert Counselor) Dr. Anas Saepudin M.S.i. The training participants were clients under the supervision and guidance of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and BNN employees from all over Indonesia, with a total of 96 participants.

The purpose of this PKM activity was to motivate clients under the supervision and assistance of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in order to reintegrate them into society and develop their careers, as their existence as members of society is still needed.

The materials presented were how to start a business for prospective entrepreneurs and business digitalization, with guest speakers who are young entrepreneurs and alumni of Widyatama University, namely Ulfah Nurfebrianti and Gumelar Bayu Fadilah.

The expected outcome of this activity is that participants will be able to implement the materials and tips to become entrepreneurs and strengthen the economy. A further hope is that the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector can successfully transform into a new economic driver in Indonesia.
