Online-Based Village Information System Training for Officials and Community Members of Ciwaruga Village

Community Service Activities (Abdimas) by lecturers and students of Widyatama University are carried out in various locations.

One of them was in Ciwaruga Village, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency, by implementing a web-based Village Information System (SID), the result of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).

It was held at the Multipurpose Hall, Ciwaruga Village, on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.

“This is an MBKM program related to collaborative learning, so this activity is also carried out by 10 students. The results of the activity will be recognized (assessed) in a number of courses,” said the Head of the Activity, Dra. Yani Iriani, M.T., recently, accompanied by activity members, Ucu Nugraha, S.T., M.Kom. and Riki Ridwan Margana, S.T., M.T.

Yani also explained that the activity was attended by around 150 participants, consisting of village officials, RT/RW heads, PKK mothers, and others. The opening was attended by Iwan Mustawan Aziz, M.Ap., Head of Parongpong Sub-District, and Dadan Carmana, A.Md., Head of Ciwaruga Village.

“It is hoped that the implementation of SID will improve the performance of village apparatus services and simplify and accelerate administrative and information matters for the community and stakeholders. Indirectly, the role of SID can support the welfare of the surrounding community,” said Yani.

He further explained that the implementation of this activity was made possible with the support of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology in the form of funding assistance from the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Policy Research Program and Community Service Based on Research Results and Prototypes from Private Universities, Fiscal Year 2021.
