Bandung City, West Java, Saturday (10/12/2022) – Widyatama University (UTama) Bandung intensively held a workshop on “Developing Guidelines and Standards for Independent Learning at Independent Campuses.” This activity is part of a series of activities for the 2022 Institutional System Support (ISS-MBKM) Campus Freedom Competition Program (PKKM) Grant obtained by Widyatama University with funding from the government.
The three-day workshop (November 8-10, 2022) was held at the Jayakarta Hotel, Jalan Ir. H. Juanda No.381A, Dago, Coblong District, Bandung City. No less than 30 participants attended the event, including UTama rectorate leaders and persons in charge of each MBKM scheme (PIC).
In addition, the Renbang Center Team was also present as the party responsible for the Grant activities, the Quality Assurance Directorate Team as the unit conducting monitoring and evaluation, and Dr. Diana Sari, S.E., M.Si., Ak., Q.I.A. as the Vice Rector for Operations was also present to support these integrated activities.
According to MBKM SOSIALITA, Deden Maulana A., this workshop was the second activity following the previous workshop held at the Preanger Hotel in Bandung on August 26-28, 2022.
The Vice Rector for Tridharma and Student Affairs of UTama, H. Dr. Wedi R. Kusumah, M.Si., Ak., Q.I.A., who opened the event, provided guidance to the lecturers appointed as PIC Schemes in MBKM to improve quality and service in order to support the implementation of MBKM programs and activities for students in the future at Widyatama University.
On this occasion, the Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. H. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum, provided guidance and reinforcement regarding additional competencies to the structural staff on the essence of implementing MBKM programs and activities for students.
Another speaker, Director of Quality Assurance Widyatama (PMW), Meita Lukitawati Sujatna, S.S., M.Hum. said that the internal quality assurance system is very important in overseeing the implementation of MBKM activities.
“Therefore, guidelines and standards need to be developed to ensure the achievement of learning outcomes for graduates who participate in MBKM activities. Guidelines for each scheme, complete with manuals, standards, and forms, have been compiled and will be established for implementation in the even semester of the 2022-2023 academic year,” said Meita.
Furthermore, Meita also said that regular and continuous monitoring and evaluation must be carried out as a form of internal quality assurance at Widyatama University.
Another outcome of the workshop was the dissemination of information to the Heads of Study Programs so that each student participating in the MBKM program can achieve maximum results, in accordance with the Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) that have been jointly agreed upon. (Deden).
