In celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1444H, the Widyatama Foundation family held a halal bihalal gathering at the Widyatama University Auditorium (GSG) on Wednesday (May 3rd).
The event was attended by the Head of the General Affairs Division of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region IV West Java and Banten, Agus Supriyatna S.Sos., M.Si, representing the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV, Dr. M. Samsuri, S.Pd., M.T., IPU, Rector of Widyatama University (UTama) for the 2001-2013 period, Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, D.E.A, Rector of UTama for the 2014-2019 period, Dr. H. Islahuzzaman, SE, M.Si, Ak, CA, Chair of the Widyatama Foundation Sri Juniati, S.E., MBA. and his staff, Chair of the Widyatama Foundation Supervisory Board Sri Lestari Roespinoedji, S.H. and her staff, Chair of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board Roeshartono, S.T., MCEM., MBA. and his staff. Rector of UTama Prof. Dr. H. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum. along with his staff, Director of the Widyatama Art Therapy Center (ATC) Dadi Firmansyah, A.Md., along with his staff, Deputy Chair of LPAP Widyatama Farisa Hasnanto. S.Ip., M.M. and his staff, Ustadz H. Budi Prayitno, invited guests, lecturers, and employees of UTama, as well as the extended family of the Widyatama Foundation.

.n his speech, the Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation, Roeshartono, said that the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr this time was still filled with the spirit of the 50th anniversary of the Widyatama Foundation, which continues to be committed to independently educating the nation in accordance with the ideals set forth by the founder of the Widyatama Foundation, Prof. Dr. Koesbandijah.
At the event, which was also held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the passing of the founder of the Widyatama Foundation, Prof. Dr. Hj. Koesbandijah, AK. M.S., Ak, Roeshartono expressed his hope that all of her contributions to the world of education would continue to be a source of inspiration for us to continue her work.
Roeshartono did not forget to thank the lecturers, instructors, support staff, and officials at Widyatama who, while fasting, remained focused and interpreted the situation positively in carrying out their duties.
Roeshartono is grateful and proud of the achievements of UTama, including the Bachelor of Management Study Program, which received “Excellent Accreditation,” and the Bachelor of English Study Program, which received “A Accreditation.” In addition, UTama received a grant for Basic Student Leadership Training (LDKM), the Diktiristek Cooperation Award, improvements and development of facilities and infrastructure, student achievements in winning competitions at the national and international levels, and the naming of the Widyatama Art Therapy Center (ATC) as the second best job training institution in West Java.
On this occasion, UTama Rector Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda also gave a speech. According to him, Eid al-Fitr is a moment to evaluate oneself and plan for a brighter and more successful future. To achieve this, there are four priority scales that must be addressed.
These priorities include: improving quality and quantity, especially in the field of research, to obtain international grants; increasing functional positions and lecturer qualifications; increasing opportunities for UTama prospective students from formal, informal, and non-formal educational backgrounds; and improving Excellent Accreditation mapping for both study programs and institutions.
In her subsequent speech, the Chair of the Foundation, Sri Juniati, S.E., MBA, motivated everyone to actively participate in activities held by the campus. To become a leading institution, brilliant collaboration is needed by working together with other colleagues, both senior and junior.
The Eid al-Fitr 1444 H gathering continued with a sermon and prayer recitation by Ustadz H. Budi Prayitno, followed by a reception and lunch together.
