Widyatama University Holds Appreciation Event and Art Performance for the Even Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year

On Saturday, July 13th, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., Widyatama University held an Appreciation Event and Art Performance for the Even Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This appreciation was given to students, student activity units (UKM), and UKM advisors. This event was the last activity of the Student Affairs and Alumni Bureau’s work program for the 2023/2024 academic year. The event opened with a performance from the Widyatama University Himanika Student Activity Unit.

“Our work program began with an orientation for new students in September and ended in July with the presentation of awards to outstanding students. This art performance serves as proof to the parents of students that their sons and daughters on campus have activities other than studying, namely being active in organizations and achieving accomplishments,” said Muhammad Fauzi, S.T., M.Log, Head of the Student Affairs Bureau.

The event was attended by Rahmat Taufik, S.E., M.A.K., as Secretary of the Widyatama Foundation and his staff, the Rector and Vice Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. H. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum., Prof. Dr. Reiza D. Dienaputra, M.Hum as Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. R. Wedi Rusmawan Kusumah as Vice Rector for Human Resources, Finance, Planning, and Governance, Dr. Didit Damur Rochman as Vice Rector for Research, PKM, Innovation, and Cooperation along with his staff, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Study Programs, representatives from the Student Parents Association, parents of outstanding students, student organization advisors, Student Activity Unit coaches, student organization administrators, and outstanding students.

“We, from the Student Affairs and Alumni Bureau, would like to express our deepest gratitude to the outstanding students who have contributed their achievements to the university, the parents of students who have supported their sons and daughters to continue to be active on campus, the academic programs and faculties that have encouraged their students to continue participating in competitions, as well as the Rectorate and Widyatama Foundation, which have always been committed to improving services and student welfare to support students in continuing to excel. This is evidenced by the inauguration of a special fitness (Gym) facility for students on July 10, 2024, to support student competitions, especially in the field of sports,” added Muhammad Fauzi.

This appreciation ceremony is held every odd and even semester. In the odd semester, the appreciation was held at Braga City Walk at the Widyatama Pop-up Market event with a total appreciation of IDR 60,900,000. Meanwhile, in this even semester, the total appreciation reached IDR 198,250,000, bringing the total appreciation given to IDR 259,150,000.

The achievements obtained in the 2023/2024 academic year, from August 2023 to July 2024, recorded 584 outstanding students with the following details:

Provincial: 109
City: 156

After the presentation of appreciation, the event continued with various performances from several Widyatama student organizations, such as Kabaret performed by Winner, UTama Choir, UTama Dance Crew, Widyatama Vocal Group, Bigband, and a special performance from Widyatama lecturers.
