In celebration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Widyatama University participated in breaking the MURI record by simultaneously pouring eco enzymes together with 42 other campuses in Indonesia.
A total of 20,364 liters of eco enzymes were poured in breaking the record.
“We greatly appreciate this eco enzyme activity. This program is very much in line with Widyatama University’s programs, especially in higher education programs that are derived from the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) regarding community service research and education,” said Widyatama University Rector Dadang Suganda, when met by a “PR” contributor Dinni Kamilani, after pouring eco enzyme in the Widyatama Campus area, Jalan Cikutra, Bandung City, Saturday (17/8/2024).
In this activity initiated by UI GreenMetric, Widyatama University contributed 300 liters of eco enzyme. Hundreds of liters of eco enzyme were distributed at several points along the river.
“One of them was given to Citarum Harum and several other areas. We also carried out direct pouring activities in the Cidurian River and the campus environment,” said Dadang. Dadang also appreciated the MURI record-breaking activity. This is because the activity is very much in line with Widyatama University’s commitment to the environment. “Activities related to SDGs are included in the tri dharma and are relevant to the UI GreenMetric indicator program,” he said.

According to him, nature is not a legacy from our ancestors, but a gift for our children and grandchildren. “Therefore, it must be preserved so that in the future, our children and grandchildren can enjoy the same things in their ownership of nature itself,” said Dadang.
In his message of independence, the Rector invited the entire academic community to work together to protect the environment and preserve nature. “Let’s care for nature, maintain nature, and protect nature. Let’s make this eco-enzyme pouring activity not just a ceremony, but a culture that contributes to nature conservation in the world.” said Dadang.
