24th ANNIVERSARY OF UNIVERSITAS WIDYATAMA – MOVING FOWARD TOGETHER TO ADVANCE WIDYATAMA UNIVERSITY IN THE ERA OF GLOBALIZATION

Bandung, August 4th, 2025 – Universitas Widyatama celebrated its 24th anniversary with a spirit of togetherness and a commitment to continue developing in the middle of globalization. Under the theme “Moving Together to Advance Universitas Widyatama in the Era of Globalization,” the event was held in a festive atmosphere at the Universitas Widyatama Multipurpose Building, attended by the academic community, foundation leaders, higher education partners, and invited guests from within and outside the country.

The event began with an Open Senate Session, led by the Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. H. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum., followed by a speech from the Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation, Roeshartono, S.T., M.C.E.M., M.B.A.. The enthusiasm and solemnity of the event were combined with cultural performances by students and a presentation of the campus’s achievements over the past year.

As a form of strengthening international networks, Prof. Dr. Deshinta Arrova Dewi, S.T., M.T. from INTI International University, Malaysia was also present as an external guest. In addition, leaders from partner universities in West Java were also present: Dr. Ir. H. Ibrahim Danuwikarsa, M.S. (Rector of Bale Bandung University – UNIBBA), Fatimah Nurjannati Iskandar, S.E., M.Ak. (Rector of Sali Al-Aitaam University – UNISAL), Prof. Mokhamad Anwar, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. (Chair of STIE Ekuitas)

At this important moment, the Head of LLDIKTI Region IV West Java and Banten, Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., also gave a warm welcome and appreciation for Widyatama University’s consistency in maintaining the quality of higher education.

“Widyatama University is one of the private universities that has shown significant development in various aspects, both academic and non-academic. I appreciate the strategic steps taken by Widyatama in facing the challenges of globalization, including strengthening international cooperation and technology-based learning innovation,” said Dr. Lukman.

He also encouraged private universities within the LLDIKTI Region IV to continue working together and adapting progressively to address the challenges of the times.

At the end of the event, attendees were invited to sing the Widyatama Anthem as a symbol of the spirit and unity of the university community. This celebration also served as a reflective moment for all campus stakeholders to continue strengthening their role as an Impactful Campus, capable of producing outstanding graduates with integrity who are ready to compete at the global level.
