BANDUNG – Hundreds of high school and vocational school students from various schools in Bandung and its surrounding areas packed the Universitas Widyatama Multipurpose Building (GSG) on Thursday, July 24th, 2025. They attended with great enthusiasm to participate in the Widyatama Open House Volume 2, an event designed to introduce the actual conditions and advantages of one of the 13 private universities (PTS) accredited as Excellent in West Java and Banten.
This event served as a direct bridge of information between the university and prospective students, parents, and teachers. In his speech, the Rector of Universitas Widyatama, Prof. Dr. H. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum., stressed that the main purpose of this activity was to present a real and factual picture of the campus. “We want to provide very factual and real information related to the profile of Universitas Widyatama. In this digital age, information is easily accessible, but some of it may not reflect the real conditions. Therefore, we invite students, parents, and teachers to get to know us better,” said Prof. Dadang.
Furthermore, Prof. Dadang emphasized Widyatama’s commitment to providing premium quality education. This commitment is proven by the high quality of its academics, research, human resources, and infrastructure, which have been highly appreciated by assessors. “God willing, we will maintain our quality and credibility to produce graduates who can compete at the national and global levels,” he said.

Student Enthusiasm and Real Experiences on Campus
The atmosphere inside the GSG was lively, like an educational festival. Each faculty and study program (prodi) had creative booths that attracted the attention of students. They not only looked, but also actively asked questions and discussed with prodi representatives, getting a clear picture of the world of lectures they were about to enter.
Positive feedback also came from the students in attendance. A female student from SMA PGII 1 Bandung expressed surprise at the quality offered. “My first impression was shocking—Widyatama is this good. When I entered, I saw so many programs, so I could imagine which one I wanted to join. The campus is also cool, and there are many programs that interest me, such as international trade, so I became even more interested,” she said. She also highlighted Widyatama’s international collaboration as a major attraction.

There are also many new buildings, so everything is great. What I noticed is that the facilities for each department are very complete. For example, for Engineering, there are so many tools. It’s very accommodating,” said Wulan.
Widyatama’s Strategy for Reaching Out to Prospective Students
The Director of Marketing at Universitas Widyatama, Muchammad Fauzi, S.T, M.Log., CSCA., CSCM., explained that the Widyatama Open House is a regular event held twice a year.
