Bandung – In celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Universitas Widyatama held a sacred flag ceremony at its main campus on Sunday (August 17th, 2025).
The ceremony was attended by university executives, lecturers, educational staff, and students from various faculties. All participants enthusiastically took part in the series of activities, which began with the raising of the red and white flag accompanied by the national anthem Indonesia Raya.
In his speech, the Rector of Universitas Widyatama said that this moment of independence serves as an important reminder of the struggles of the nation’s heroes. The spirit of unity, cooperation, and concrete contributions from all elements of society, including higher education institutions, are essential to bring Indonesia toward a better future.
“Happy 80th Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. May the spirit of independence continue to inspire us all to build a nation that is advanced, independent, and globally competitive,” said Prof. Dadang.
With this ceremony, Universitas Widyatama reaffirms its commitment to continue playing an active role in producing a superior generation that is able to make a real contribution to the development of the nation and state.
