Bandung, November 12, 2024 – The Student Senate of the Faculty of Visual Communication Design (SEMA FDKV) at Universitas Widyatama successfully organized the HOPESITE Exhibition 2024, a student exhibition held at the Universitas Widyatama Multipurpose Hall. The event took place over three days, from November 12 to 14, 2024, running from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Under the theme “Reduce Waste, Reduce Worry,” the exhibition served as a platform to showcase the creativity and potential of FDKV Universitas Widyatama students to the broader public. Additionally, it was part of the follow-up program for the Student Leadership and Management Training (LKMM), aiming to test the leadership and management skills of students from the 2021–2023 cohorts.
Objectives of the Event
The HOPESITE Exhibition was designed with several objectives in mind, including:
Introducing the Student Senate of FDKV Universitas Widyatama to the public.
Showcasing the creative works of FDKV students to a wide audience.
Motivating and sharing knowledge with the public about design and art.
Target Audience and Participants
The event attracted a diverse audience, including active students of the Faculty of Visual Communication Design at Universitas Widyatama, design students from other universities in Bandung, vocational high school students majoring in design, and the general public. Participating institutions included ITB, Telkom University, BINUS, Maranatha, UNIKOM, and several vocational schools such as SMKN 5 Bandung and SMKN 14 Bandung.
Message of the Exhibition
The exhibition not only displayed innovative artistic works but also conveyed an important message about environmental issues, particularly waste management. FDKV students used their creativity to explore this theme in various forms of work, including graphic design, art installations, and interactive media.
Goals and Impact
The event was expected to serve as a stepping stone for FDKV Universitas Widyatama students to gain broader recognition while strengthening collaboration with design communities in Bandung and its surroundings. With the success of HOPESITE Exhibition 2024, the collaborative and innovative spirit of design students has become increasingly evident.
