Widyatama Univ. Top Leader Meets with DLSL Prexy

Over the years, De La Salle Lipa has forged ties with several colleges and universities, across the world. Through a Memorandum of Understanding, a bond had been formed and strengthened with its partner universities. Recently, the rector of the partner university, – Widyatama University, Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, Ir. DEA, along with two administrators, paid a visit to the new president of DLSL, Br. Joaquin S. Martinez FSC, D. Min.

The Brother President, along with other administrators, namely, Dr. Alicia Botardo (VCAR), Hermogenes Panganiban (Dean, CEAS), Engr. Rodelio Cabreara (Dean, CITE), Wilfreda Dimaano (Dean, CBEAM), Joy Zapata (Dean, CIHTM), Conrada Bacong, RN, MAN (Dean, CoN), Atty. Emerito Enginco (Dean, CoL), and Erickson Martinez (Dean, Student Services) welcomed the guests from Indonesia.

Linkages and International Relations Director, Arnold Capuloy, introduced the members of each group, and a hearty conversation commenced between the administrators which took place at the VIP lounge of the Linkages and International Relations office on October 22. A lot of topics have been brought up, touching on the history of each institution, from current status, to future plans; cultivating the MOU. Dr. Sutoko expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and stressed that friendship is important, more than ever. Sadly, he regrets not to personally see Br. Manuel Pajarillo FSC, during the term of the former DLSL president, to reciprocate his previous visits. Dr. Sutoko brought with him mementos from Indeonesia and an album full of wonderful memories during the stay of Br. Mawel and the rest of the delegation in their country. In return, Br. Kenneth handed Filipino handicrafts and other Lasallian souvenirs. Widyatama University, a “Friendly Campus for Future Business Pro,” is situated in Cikutra, eastern Bandung, Indonesia, offering bachelor degrees in Economics, Business and Management, Engineering, Language, and Visual Communication Design; graduate programs in Management and Professional Program for Accounting, as well as international programs.
