Saturday (07/09/2019), the rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. Obsatar Sinaga, S.IP., M.SI along with the university senate professor of Widyatama both closed and inaugurated new students at the senate council meeting for the inauguration of new students in the academic year 2019/2020. All new students of Widyatama University in the academic year 2019/2020 joined the University Introduction Program which took place in the Widyatama Multipurpose Building.

The University Introduction Program for new students lasted for 12 days starting on August 26 – September 7, 2019. Series of University Introduction Programs consisted of introductory to the mechanism of learning activities, getting to know campus life at both the University level, faculty level and study program level as well as lectures from various speakers from various fields of disciplines. At the inauguration ceremony, the Rector was accompanied by the Vice-Chancellors by wearing alma mater uniform symbolically to the representatives of new students. All students participating in the PPU also recited the student’s promise as a pledge of readiness to enter the new world in lecturing.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Obsatar Sinaga, S.IP., M.SI congratulated for all new students in joining the University Introduction Program. In addition, he expressed his pride at the achievement of the best students who were currently studying at Widyatama University.

Furthermore, the Chancellor advised that the entire academic community should not be provoked by current issues, students as future leaders were expected to be able to filter news on national divisions.
